The Championship Predictor is based on all matches played in the EFL Championship 2020-21 season. The game will start scoring points from the first match on the 11th September 2020 and runs until the end of the tournament, scheduled to finish on the 9th May 2021.
How to Play
Register Your Profile
Firstly, you’ll need to register with a unique profile name. Simply follow the instructions on the ‘Register to Play’ page, or login with your Twitter or Google account, using the link at the top of the page.
Please note:
– Any profile names deemed inappropriate or offensive will not be allowed, and profiles will be disqualified and withdrawn from the game.
Make Your Predictions
Making the predictions is easy. Just choose the score of each match during the competition and receive points for your correct predictions.
How to Score Points
Correct score – 3 points
Correct outcome – 1 point
Incorrect prediction – 0 points
Please note:
– Points are based on the full time result inclusive of extra time
– Penalty shootouts (if applicable) will not be considered
Saving your Predictions
Once you have selected your predictions, they will be automatically saved. Please note: You will not score any points for your predictions if they have not been selected and saved.
You can edit your predictions right up until the match deadline, which is the scheduled start time for that match.
Non-submission of Predictions
If you do not save any predictions before the deadline for a match has passed, you will not score points for that match.
Prediction Deadlines
The prediction for each match must be entered by the published start time for each match. If you fail to make the prediction for one of the matches, don’t worry. You can still make predictions for the remainder of the Championship matches– just make sure your predictions are entered before the start time of each match in order to score points.
Once the deadline has passed, you will not be able to enter or change your prediction for any match that has started.
Mini Leagues
Every single profile is automatically entered into the overall league. However, you can also create or join a mini league with your friends.
To do this, just log on to your profile and visit the ‘Mini League’ tab. From there, you can ‘Create’ a league of your own or ‘Join’ one that a friend may have already set up. A full list of instructions can be found in the FAQ section.
You can join up to ten mini Leagues. However, you can only be the ‘Chairman’ of three mini leagues. Once you have joined a mini league, you cannot be moved or deleted so choose your mini leagues carefully.
To be eligible for a mini league prize (if applicable), a mini league must have at least five participants registered by Friday 12th March at 12:00 pm BST. Although it is possible to start a mini league with four or fewer participants, these mini leagues will not be eligible to win a prize. An administrator must be named per mini league. The administrator must approve the admission of members in the mini league.
